Appointments round up: Varo Bank names chief product officer
Bank of America’s senior VP joins INROADS board and Vista Point Advisors promotes five

Varo Bank has hired Jon Alferness as its chief product officer, joining from Rideshare at Lyft where he was responsible for the engineering, product and revenue teams.
The bank, which is all-digital and has national chartered status in the US, recently raised $510m in Series E funding, boosting its valuation to $2.5bn. It currently has four million customer accounts.
Bank of America’s senior vice president, Angela Rivers, has joined the INROADS National Board of Directors.
At BOA, she is responsible for the performance and risk management of third parties and also serves as a member of the bank’s Black Executive Leadership Council.
Meanwhile, boutique investment bank Vista Point Advisors has promoted five team members.
Scott Austin and Mike Greco have been named as managing directors at the firm, while Thomas Lin has been promoted to principal.
Loson Stockton has been made a senior analyst, having previously held the role of analyst, and Jack Vawdrey is now the firm’s director of content marketing.
