A new Federal Reserve survey reported that banks in the United States are tightening their lending standards as banks brace for volatility when it comes to the United States economy.
The survey highlighted small businesses and commercial property as primary concerns for the banking industry, with banks tightening lending to smaller businesses.
The exception in commercial real estate was farming properties.
The report also cited growing demand for liquidity as a catalyst for caution among lenders.
