A recent story by The Economist focused on how America is quickly catching up to the rest of the world in terms of faster payments.
While Covid-19 has accelerated the demand by banking customers to move quickly to real-time, approximately 3% of financial institutions in the United States are capable of delivering this service.
Banking Exchange has put together a panel of experts from Celent and Alacriti focused on the United States market. The panel will take place in the form of a webinar on June 16 at 2 pm Eastern Time. Banks and Credit Unions may come at no cost.
The discussion will focus on the challenges for payments in the United States market and why it is off to such a slow start compared with counterparts in Europe and Asia, how the U.S. future is better than it seems, and a global outlook for the future.
Gareth Lodge, a senior analyst at Celent, will lead the discussion along with Payments Practice Lead at Alacriti Mark Ranta. Gareth has been a prominent speaker at SIBOS, EBADay, NACHAS Payments as well as private events in the banking sector.
